Despite being turned back, the near one hundred or more souls who could not be accommodated inside the packed Steel Shed, took up positions at every vantage point, craning their necks, contorting their bodies, doing all things possible to catch a glimpse of the performances and share in the word. The fortunate who made it inside, raised their hands heaven-wards with each song, each dance, each call to ‘Praise the Lord’. For Pastor Mark Harewood who performed the duties of Master of Ceremonies, ‘the money’s worth had been received from the start with the opening number from HEALING HANDS with Paula Hinds, Sheldon Hope, Mya Daniel, James Leacock and Sammi-Jane who performed “Lord You are Good” . The rest of the concert surpassed good. Also appearing at the concert which was entitled ‘Come Praise The Lord’ Marcus King, Andre Daniel and Friends, Praise Academy of Dance, G-Syndicate and The Miraclettes. On this night the National Cultural Foundation honoured Sister Magarita Marshall and Joseph Niles who combined, have dedicated more than eighty five years to ministering the Gospel in song.
