Stars Block Traffic on Broad Street

Barbados Crop Over FestivalBroad Street came to a stand still for about two hours yesterday, first when the motorcade carrying Mac Fingall, RPB, Biggie Irie, Mr. Dale, TC and Machel Montano stopped outside Cave Shepherd to allow the stars to step from the fully decked out trucks customized by Freeks Customz.
Inside Broad Street Men’s and Womens’ Designer Wear Store, the stars were surrounded by adorning fans who just could not get enough. They posed with their favourites taking pictures with Black Berries, video cams anything that could capture their images.

Those outside the store, who could not make their way inside, brought  pedestrian traffic to a crawl as they peered curiously through the large show windows to catch a glimpse of the action. The Media posed questions and the crowd responded in rapturous laughter as the Soca bards traded jabs, sang and had the crowd join in as if they were the choir as they sang choruses of some of the season’s top songs.

Commercial Director of Digicel Mr. Alex Tasker and Advertising Manager of StarCOM Network Chay Davis representing the Caribbean Super Station, were both ‘pleased as punch’ with the atmosphere which was created and as sponsors of the BIG Digicel / CSS Cohobblopot they both voiced that there could be no better way to end the party season than on July 31st at Kensington Oval.

The ‘Meet the Press and Fans’ event was hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Evans Husbands inside their Broad Street Mens’ and Womens’ Designer Wear Store in Cave Shepherd on Broad Street. As a special they are offering all patrons who are attending the international concert a 10% discount on select clothing on Saturday, July 30 with the presentation of the Digicel / CSS Cohobblopot ticket.
